Announcing New Partnership with Astrevo LabsJuly 15, 2024 - Lexington, Kentucky, Today Bluegrass IIBA proudly announces a partnership with Astrevo Labs of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Aaron Whittenberger of Bluegrass IIBA Chapter said, "Astrevo will give us the opportunity to offer a different format of two to three hour workshop type training, as well as training on different topics than we have had in the past." Bluegrass recently surveyed the community on what type of training they wanted. Predominantly, the community said they wanted training that is less than half day in the classroom (even if it is virtual). Insights from the Training Interest SurveyIn May of this year, the Bluegrass IIBA Chapter was contacted by two training providers inquiring about our interest in partnering with them to provide their training courses to our community. To help with that decision the Board decided to send an interest survey to our community to see what training they are interested in receiving, if any. The survey went out to the community in June. We have the the results back and it show some very interesting insights.

Another Career Milestone Accomplishment for Aaron WhittenbergerAaron Whittenberger is a life-long learner as evidenced by earning his sixth professional certification across three certifying bodies. Finishing training and earning the Advanced Certified Scrum Product Owner (A-CSPO®) designation from Scrum Alliance. Aaron noted that obtaining a certification doesn't automatically give you advanced or new skills, but rather it is confirmation of the skills, knowledge, experience and training you have gained throughout your career.

IIBA Announces Student Membership!Setting the Next Generation up for SuccessIIBA® announces making IIBA membership more affordable to college and university students. Student members will enjoy the same member benefits as professional members of IIBA, but at a discounted price. Student Membership is open to current students enrolled full-time at an accredited college or university with a student ID issued by the institution. Bluegrass IIBA Chapter extends member benefits to IIBA Student Members that will effectively make it easier for students to graduate from college with a degree and the Entry Certificate in Business Analysis (ECBA™). Bluegrass Chapter offers the world-class BABOK® Study Group to prepare participants to take the ECBA™ certification exam. Listening to FeedbackWe have been receiving all kinds of wonderful feedback concerning our new website look and feel. People in general like the more modern and sleek look. We think so too. One member even noted that the fonts we use look more like the IIBA website. IIBA has two official fonts that it uses in their communication, publications, logos and website. We are using those fonts across our new chapter website. It is amazing that someone noticed the font. We did receive some feedback that some of our content is being blocked by corporate security networks. Our new website platform affords... |

Congratulations on our newest CBAP Recipient!Congratulations to Sondra Stirling on another career milestone achievement. Sondra sat for the CBAP® exam on September 30, 2023, and passed on the first attempt. She had previously earned the Entry Certificate in Business Analysis (ECBA™) designation in December 2022, the Agile Analysis Certification (IIBA®-AAC) in October 2021 and the Product Ownership Analysis Certification (IIBA®-CPOA) in July 2021.
