The BA Skill Set - The Growth Mindset

How many of you know people in their roles who are doing things the exact same things they were doing years ago, without ever really improving their delivery or results?

I know first-hand, because I wasted a number of years being that person. Luckily, I was able to make changes and have never looked back since.....

Understanding cloud and what it means to a BA

By Ken Fulmer, President & CEO, IIBA

10 Most Useful Business Analysis Tools

As a practicing business analyst, trainer and consultant for last 25 years, I have come across many business analysis tools.

I was forced to use some of these tools because my clients and organization mandated some of them. I do read about a lot of blogs and articles about which business analysis tool is used extensively by industry. Many of them appear to be simple marketing propaganda by the tool vendors (or copy paste from someone else’s blogs) saying the particular tool is the greatest tool for business analysis.....

By the time the University of Kentucky starts its fall semester, students and faculty will be able to enjoy a lush new feature of the newly remodeled Student Center—a planted roof installed by the Klausing Group, a Lexington-based commercial grounds management and landscape construction company.

Totaling 6,000 square feet and planted in seven different sections of roof on the second and third floors, the student center project is the largest green roof the company has tackled to date.  Klausing Group has also installed green roofs....

The Elusive American Black Truffle

On a frigid winter day in southern Kentucky, Margaret Townsend crisscrossed her family’s farm, following Monza, a truffle-sniffing dog hired for the day.

Can't make it to live monthly meetings?

The chapter supports statewide remote venues (called satellites) for monthly events. If your company has a group of BA's, it might consider establishing a satellite location, and you can help.  Find out how to
make it happen in your area.

Beginning in August 2016, members are able to attend Bluegrass IIBA Chapter meetings for free (some restrictions apply). Remember to renew your membership to continue to enjoy the benefits of membership. Do you have more than 10 professionals who perform business analysis in your organization?  Then the IIBA Corporate Membership and Bluegrass IIBA Corporate Membership programs may be for you.
