The Future of Business Analysis

Where is the industry going? How can BAs take advantage of these trends to provide value to the organization? This presentation addresses several hot topics about the future of business analysis

Specifically, this presentation describes 5 trends that will shape the future of business analysis:

  • Business analysis levels of maturity and why they provide increasing value to the organization

  • Differences between being an order taker, a service provider, a trusted advisor, and a strategic partner
  • The skills and competencies are needed for these different levels
  • How much value each level brings
  • Mapping the levels between IIBA and the Business Relationship Management Institute (BRMI)

  • The BA in the “gig” economy including full-stack BAs
