Surviving the Coronavirus

This is a community discussion forum on how the current widespread health pandemic has affected your life. Most of us are getting through the second week of working from home, but it has had even more drastic impact on some of us and others in our community. Please keep those who have lost their jobs or contracted the virus in your prayers and thoughts. Remember to do kind things for others in our community to help them cope. Remember to reach out to extended family to check on them and see what they may need, especially the elderly.

Put your comments below to tell us what impact the pandemic has had on your and your family’s life? How are you coping? What measures has your company taken to keep you safe and healthy? Do you know a store that still has toilet paper on the shelves? What tips do you have to help your community colleagues cope with the new normal of our lives, at least for the time being?

Use the square next to the title of this post to add your comment to this discussion forum.

I am in my second week of working from home. We were told on March 12th or 13th that we would be working from home March 16th to April 3rd. This was in the very early stages of the virus spreading. Yesterday we had technical issues with our online meeting platform, but I am really impressed that a week and half into over 3,000 employees working remotely that this was the first hiccup we experienced. Everything running smoothly today. Our projects are moving forward at nearly the same pace, so for me personally it hasn't had the kind of impact on my life that it has had on others. It has reduced my commute to work from 50 minutes to 30 seconds!

Like Aaron, I'm really grateful for the short commute - mine dropped from 35 minutes to 0. We're grateful to be staying healthy so far, and remembering those who are struggling with this nasty virus in our thoughts and prayers. How is everyone else doing?
