I am Interested in Speaking
The Bluegrass IIBA Chapter is always looking for knowledgeable, passionate professionals to speak at our monthly events and special programs. Whether you have a fully developed presentation or just a topic idea you're excited about, we'd love to hear from you
Who We're Looking For
You don't have to be a Business Analyst to speak to our community — we welcome professionals from a wide range of backgrounds who bring fresh perspectives and real-world insights. We're especially interested in speakers who can connect their expertise to the evolving world of business analysis.
Topics we love include:
- Business Analysis practices, tools, and frameworks (BABOK®, IIBA certifications)
- Agile, Scrum, and product ownership
- Data analytics, AI, and emerging technology
- Leadership, communication, and stakeholder collaboration
- Project and change management
- Cybersecurity and risk from a BA perspective
- Career development and navigating the modern workplace
Professionals we'd love to hear from:
- Business Analysts (at any career stage)
- Product Owners and Product Managers
- Data and AI professionals
- Project Managers and Scrum Masters
- Leadership and organizational development experts
- Anyone with a story, skill, or insight our community can learn from
What to Expect
Our monthly chapter meetings run 90 minutes, with 60 minutes reserved for the featured speaker session. Chapter Meetings are held virtually and/or in person on the third Wednesday of the month — we'll coordinate the format with you in advance.
We also host occasional lunch 'n learns, webinars, special events and workshops where longer or more in-depth sessions may be possible.
A few things to know:
- Speaking at chapter events is a volunteer opportunity and is not compensated, unless otherwise specified.
- Special events and partner programs may include a speaker honorarium — let's talk if you have a specific proposal.
- Both first-time presenters and seasoned speakers are warmly welcome.
Why Speak With Us?
Presenting to the Bluegrass IIBA Chapter is more than a speaking engagement — it's a chance to connect, grow, and give back to a community of curious, dedicated professionals.
Here's what you'll gain:
- A ready-made audience. Reach business analysis professionals, agile practitioners, data specialists, and leaders all in one room.
- A low-pressure proving ground. Test a new topic or presentation format in a supportive, engaged environment before taking it to a larger stage.
- Thought leadership. Establish yourself as a subject matter expert in your field.
- Professional development credit. Speaking at IIBA chapter events qualifies toward Continuing Development Units (CDUs) for IIBA certification holders.
- Meaningful connections. Expand your network with professionals who value learning and collaboration.
- The chance to give back. Help fellow professionals grow by sharing what you know.
