Register for Bluegrass IIBA - The Job Search Value Stream: filtering signal from the noise, one stage at a time
Most job search advice arrives as a pile of tips. This session does something different. It treats the search the way a Business Analyst would treat any broken business process: as a level 1 value stream, mapped end to end, with the value leaks hunted down at every transition.
Across seven stages, from job trigger through to outcome, we will unpack where good candidates lose roles for reasons that have nothing to do with their capability. At every stage we will name the leak, and work out how to seal it.
Part one reframes the search itself. A job description is not a posting, it is a requirements document describing a problem someone wants solved. That single shift changes your resume, your networking and every interview answer that follows. Part two moves into the room, going beyond STAR to the fifth letter that changes every response, and the hidden test sitting behind each question theme.
We will also look at how AI can carry the heavy lifting in your search, so your time goes into preparing properly for the roles that actually matter.
Drawing on twenty years across banking, auto finance, telecom, insurance and financial crime in India, the UK and Australia, and on time spent on both sides of the hiring table, this is a toolkit you adapt, not a template you copy.
