Bluegrass IIBA Chapter Congratulates our Newest CBAP Recipient!
On January 31, 2025, Van Miller earned his Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP®) certification, marking a significant milestone in his career as a Business Analyst at The Cincinnati Insurance Companies. This achievement was the culmination of a dedicated and collaborative journey.
Van's path to certification began with the Bluegrass Chapter CBAP study group, where he gained foundational knowledge and support. Additionally, he was part of a smaller, focused study group at Cincinnati Insurance, led by Thea Soehren and advised by Aaron Whittenberger. This group included recent Bluegrass CBAP recipients: Peter Lutz, Thea Soehren, and Hollie Prichard, whose camaraderie and shared insights were invaluable.
Van credits his success to both the Bluegrass study group and the Cincinnati Insurance group. After graduating the Bluegrass study group, studying with a small, dedicated team, utilizing Watermark practice exam questions, and engaging in discussions helped everyone in the group pass the CBAP exam. The collaborative environment and mutual support were key to their collective success.
With over 30 years in information technology, Van's career has spanned roles as a project leader, developer, and now, a Business Analyst. His favorite part of being a BA is witnessing the implementation of solutions he has helped create and seeing them deliver real value.
Outside of work, Van enjoys a variety of activities including reading, running, biking, hiking, skiing, and disc golf. He cherishes time with his wife, Rita, and their two grown children, Zane, and Emily.
