We are going to do something new. This will be an experiment in using AI for your business analysis tasks. Some BAs have embraced Generative AI (GenAI) and are using it to assist in their daily work. Others have heard about, curious, but haven't figured out how GenAI can help do business analysis tasks. We have hosted several events in the past two or three years discussing how BAs can use GenAI to assist in their work. Now we want to bridge that gap and not only show you, but have you actually use GenAI to do your daily business analysis work -- Learn by Doing!
Bluegrass IIBA Chapter is currently creating various business scenarios across many industries, including Healthcare, Retail/Ecommerce, Banking, Manufacturing, Insurance, Higher Education, and Government that gives a business analyst a work effort to bring about change within the organization. We will give participants the case study about the business scenario and all supporting context around that work effort. We will give you prompts to feed ChatGPT, or your preferred GenAI tool, to see what results you receive. You will not have to figure out what to prompt ChatGpt, we'll give you that. This experiment is to experience the many different things that ChatGPT can do for you. It's not just writing requirements, GenAI can assist in summarizing discussions, drawing diagrams and models, creating prototypes, writing user stories and acceptance criteria. It is especially helpful is suggesting activities, techniques, questions to ask, and other things to give you ideas you may not come up with on your own. Let's experiment...
Bluegrass IIBA Chapter will do this during the networking time before the main presentation during our chapter meetings. So each time, it will take only 10 to 15 minutes to learn how we can use GenAI. So it is not one and done, we will do it at least monthly to give business analyst different ideas on how to use GenAI as a tool to assist in your work. So join us the third Wednesday of each month (except June, July and December) to learn how you can use GenAI.
