2024 Bluegrass IIBA Board of Director Election Results
May 20, 2024, Lexington, Kentucky: The Bluegrass IIBA Chapter held its annual Board of Director elections during the month of April, with election results announced at the Annual General Meeting on May 15, 2024. Elections were held by electronic ballot with ballots sent to all members in good standing of the Bluegrass IIBA Chapter. Elections were open for 30 days, and were closed on April 30th.
There were three of the nine Board of Director positions up for election: President, Vice President of Community Outreach and Engagement, and the Vice President of Sponsorship. Running for these offices were Bill Powers, CBAP, AAC, CBDA of Louisville, Kentucky for President, Steph Hawkins, MSIA, CISA of Ann Arbor, Michigan for Vice President of Community Outreach and Engagement, and Kathy Leigh, CBAP of Lexington, Kentucky for Vice President of Sponsorships. These three candidates are the incumbents that currently hold these offices.
Results of the membership voting is that all three officers were elected into their offices. With incumbents retaining their current offices, there will be no Board transition period this year, that traditionally happens during May and June of the year. The officers will begin their new two year term in office on July 1, 2024. Congratulations to Bill, Steph and Kathy.
