Business Analysis in Agile... It is the Activity Not the Role

I hear a lot of talk about what is the role of a BA in agile and a bit of horror at the thought there is not a role called BA on an agile team.  I am not sure this is the right question.  Just to put in perspective we do not belong to the International Organization of Business Analysts… We are part of the International Organization of Business Analysis… regardless of the roles or titles having a practiced, proficient Business Analysis practitioner is a critical part of Agile.    Agile requires T shaped individuals who have both depth of a profession and breadth of knowledge.

  • Project Business Analysts
  • Enterprise Business Analysts
  • Business Systems Analysts
  • Requirements Engineers
  • Business and Solution Architects

  • Business Analyst Manager
