Webinar Speaker Series: 21st Century Business Analyst

This webinar series focuses on the transformations we expect to see in the business analysis space over the next five years to help today's business analysis practitioner position their career for that future.

In this series you will hear from thought leaders in the business analysis space about changes they see coming within the next five years that the profession will have to respond to.  Once you register for this event you will receive a link to this pre-recorded webinar.  You will have access to this recording for at least 20 days following this event date.  You do not have to be available at this date and time to take advantage of this professional development opportunity.  If you have any questions about the content or you would like to ask the presenter, there is a link on the webinar viewing page to a feedback survey; enter your questions there and we will get you answers to your questions.

Decision Making: Addressing the Question of Value

Many organizations are faced with project execution and experience high cost overruns and challenges to deliver the anticipated value. In working with many clients and reading study after study a root cause points to requirement issues. It could be missing requirements, too many requirements, conflicting requirements, or multiple interpretations of the same requirement.

In the end this challenge and struggle relates to how organizations are making and communicating decisions before, during and after projects. Decisions need to be made with the right information available at the right time.

In this session, Kupe will be discussing Decision Making. One of your main responsibilities is to help others make better decisions, and to make decisions yourself.  If decisions are not made during a project nothing can get accomplished. Easier said than done right? Making a decision, especially when there isn’t consensus can be interesting to say the least. However, there are tools that can be used to help facilitate decision making – tools that will lead you and the team to the right decision.  After this session, you will look at your role in a whole new light.

Session Objectives

  • The Importance of Decision Making to increase the success of projects
  • When you need to make decisions and the tools to help make them
  • How you help others make decisions
