10+5+3+1=90...How to Help the Business Achieve its Strategic Plan 

Why is it that the goals businesses and individuals make do not get achieved? Why is it that when we bring planning up to our clients and business stakeholders, we sometimes get a chuckle from them? What is the formula for creating a strategic plan that clients want to achieve and will do whatever it takes to make it happen?

These questions are the ones that we are going to investigate. We will break the strategic planning process down into a formula that all people can follow to get the results that they want. We will look at the biggest mistake that businesses make when planning and how they quickly and easily overcome that problem. At the end of our time together you will be able to help clients completely understand the planning process and how to make it work for them.

Andrew Van Horn is the owner of ActionCOACH and Profit Sense, which are both located in Lexington, KY. He has presented and trained over 9,000 people over the last six years. He has been active in Toastmasters and is working on his Participant Centered, Instructor Lead Training certification. He has trained members of the Kentucky National Guard and business owners and their teams in goal setting, marketing, revenue growth, profit growth, and culture.  

He is also a father of three adorable children: David Henry (9), Sophia (7), and Alex (5). He is married to Karin, the girl next door (literally), for more than 11 years. Andrew also enjoys hunting, fishing, water skiing, kayaking, and camping. He is currently planning a 3-day kayaking trip with clients and friends this spring. He is involved in scouting programs and has been for more than 15 years. 

One of his hobbies is being a frontiersman re-enactor with Frontiers Camping Fellowship where he goes by the name Black Bead. Yes, there is a great story behind that name. The biggest fish he ever caught was a 54 ¾ pound King Salmon on the Kasilof River in Alaska.
