As announced earlier this week, Bluegrass IIBA Chapter has launched the Philippines IIBA Branch to bring a business analysis education and networking program to the business professionals of the Philippines.
Bluegrass IIBA Chapter has been holding chapter meetings in the Philippine time zone since this past April. We have been searching for professionals to step up to leadership positions to lead the start of a Philippines IIBA Chapter. Starting as a branch of the Bluegrass Chapter is a interim step as the leaders continue to receive mentoring from the Bluegrass Chapter leadership team.
We do have a few people who have stepped up into those leadership role to lead the branch/chapter into the future:
Manu de los Reyes was elected by the Philippine leaders to head the effort as Executive Director. Manu is a business analyst for UBX Philippines, a fast growing Fintech company that makes financial services inclusive and accessible to everyone in the Philippines. Being an archipelago country with many far flung and hard to reach areas, this service has become even more important and the role of technology has been crucial in accomplishing this mission. He studied in De La Salle University Manila and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management. Fascinated by the impact technology can have on business outcomes and on communities in general, he pursued a career as a business analyst over 6 years ago.
Kristine "Kaye" Chua will take on the role of Community Outreach and Engagement. She is the Lead Business Analyst of Actimai Philippines, a fast-growing IT consulting and solutions delivery company that offers Robotic Process Automation and Intelligent Process Automation. She has been a professional for more than 10 years, practicing Business Analysis in banking and finance, insurance, manufacturing, telecommunications and supply chain industries. Kaye holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from De La Salle University - Manila. She is trained in lean six sigma green belt and is an advocate of establishing lean processes before deciding to automate. From a young age, Kaye has been serving communities through various civic groups and is a volunteer of non-profit organizations, such as the Philippine Red Cross. She enjoys connecting people and looks forward to connect Filipino IT Business Analysts all over the world... the universe rather.
Maybel Villanueva-Mangrobang will take on the role of Marketing. She is part of the Strategy Realisation Office of World Vision International. She provides quantitative and qualitative analyses to inform strategic decision-making. She has more than a decade of experience in business analysis, business process improvement, BI visualizations, tools creation, global due diligence, account management, financial planning and reporting amongst other skills and techniques. She recently passed the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt exam and is currently finishing her project. Maybel is also set to take her Certified Business Analysis Professional™ (CBAP®) certification next year, with the help of Bluegrass IIBA study group. She is married and has 2 wonderful kids, and is active at church activities. Maybel would like to see the Philippines branch to promote the value of business analysts and to help the Philippine community grow, have in-depth skills and be world-class professionals.
Bryan Shalom Sison will take on the role of Professional Development. He is a Business Analyst from Yondu, Inc. and is a contingent worker for AXA Philippines which focuses on the Technological Solutions for it's Retail Distribution Services Department. He held several positions from different corporate sectors and gained 14 years of IT Professional experience. Bryan has always fascinates himself to learn more and devote himself to further education. Even after he graduated with his bachelors degree in Lyceum of the Philippines University where he took Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and Graduated in April 2007. He pursued his Masters of Science in Computer Science in De La Salle University - Manila in October 2010. He had acquired his ITIL v3 Foundation Course Certificate in January 2014 and currently, he is working toward his very first IIBA Certification soon. Bryan is single at the age of 37 and is living independently at Makati City, Philippines. He envisions himself as someone who can help groups or organizations to grow and make impactful development that provides quality products and services for everyone especially that relates to Technology in the Philippines and eventually across the globe.
